WHY CHOOSE OVERTIME EQUINE?
Yes, we offer layovers when needed to ensure the health, safety, and comfort of your horse during long-distance transport. Layovers are arranged at trusted, fully-equipped facilities where your horse can rest. The need for a layover is determined based on travel distance, weather conditions, and the individual needs of your horse.
We're happy to discuss options during the booking process!
For out-of-state transport, we need a current negative Coggins test (within the past 12 months) and a valid health certificate from a licensed vet (within 30 days of travel). These documents are essential to meet interstate regulations and ensure the health and safety of all horses we transport. For in-state transport, requirements may vary, but we still recommend up-to-date health records to avoid any issues during transit.
Yes, we keep you informed throughout the entire transport process. You'll receive regular status updates at key points along the route, including departure, major stops, and estimated arrival times. We also provide photo updates so you can see how your horse is doing during the journey. Communication and transparency are important to us, and we're always available for check-ins if you need additional information along the way.
We understand that some horses can be more challenging to load, and we have a lot of experience working with nervous or stubborn loaders. We allow up to 30 minutes for loading and unloading at both pick-up and drop-off locations. If additional time is required beyond that, a fee of $20 will apply, as it can impact our schedule and affect other clients.
To ensure a smooth process, please give us ample notice if you anticipate any loading issues. This helps us plan accordingly and ensures your horse's transport is as safe and stress-free as possible.
Yes, we require all clients to sign a transport agreement and release of liability before the trip. This ensures both parties are clear on the terms and responsibilities for your horse's transport. The agreement also includes a section for you to describe each horse and note any special needs or instructions for their care. We'll provide this document for review before booking and need it filled out and signed before pick-up.
